RaySearch Laboratories' RayStation selected by Queensland's Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital

Medical technology company RaySearch Laboratories AB (STO:RAYB) announced on Tuesday that the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) has replaced its former photon planning system with the company's treatment planning system RayStation.

This order was received and mainly generated revenues within the fourth quarter of 2019, exact financial details of which were not available.

Reportedly, the adaptive workflow functionality and multi-criteria optimisation capabilities of RayStation will help sustain RBWHs position as one of the region's most-advanced treatment centres. RBWH is the largest medical facility in Queensland, Australia, employing over 8,000 multidisciplinary staff across a range of clinical areas. The hospital is known for its preeminent cancer treatment using a broad spectrum of advanced treatment types.

According to the company, RayStation will provide RBWH oncology specialists with innovative tools to treat different cancer types in the most-efficient and precise way possible with its Varian treatment machines.

RaySearch is a developer of software solutions to improve cancer care. It markets the RayStation treatment planning system and RayCare, the next-generation oncology information system, worldwide.
