Evolution Health Group, a full-service, global healthcare communications organisation, announced on Friday that it has named Leo P Francis, PhD as its new chief medical officer.

Dr Francis has more than 20 years of agency experience to utilise at Evolution, which is intending to expand its capabilities and client services in the areas of innovative customer experiences, proprietary digital offerings and business strategy consulting. The company says that he has pharmaceutical communications experience with a rare combination of business and medical/scientific expertise that translates into organisational value.

He has held a variety of notable leadership positions in the past including global group president at Publicis Healthcare and, most recently, as chief medical officer at Avadel Pharmaceuticals.
