Transcenta Holding Limited, a global biotherapeutics company, has named Dr Charlie Qi as its new senior vice president of Global Clinical Development, it was reported on Monday.

Dr Qi has served in various pharmaceutical companies such as Roche, Hutchison MediPharma and Eli Lilly. Most recently, he served as the head of Oncology Product Development at Roche Global Product Development Center in Shanghai.

Dr Li Xu, acting chief medical officer, stated: "We are pleased and honoured to have Dr Qi join the Transcenta team. Dr Qi brings Transcenta with his extensive experience in clinical development of innovate drugs in China. He will lead clinical development of new drugs in our pipeline in China."
