Oncology company Coiled Therapeutics plc (AIM: COIL) (OTCQB: COTXF) declared on Monday that it has completed enrollment across two cohorts evaluating its new lipid-based softgel formulation of AO-252, enrolling three patients each at 120mg twice daily and 160mg once daily. All patients are progressing through the protocol-specified assessment period in the ongoing Phase I study.
The new formulation is designed to reduce absorption variability, improve bioavailability and provide more predictable, dose-proportional exposure. The selected doses build on earlier tablet-formulation results, which showed an 80% Clinical Benefit Rate among five patients receiving twice-daily dosing, compared with 40% among five patients receiving once-daily dosing.
Coiled Therapeutics expects to dose up to 30 patients with the new formulation by the end of 2026, ahead of planned Phase I/II dose-expansion cohorts in ovarian and prostate cancer. Initial safety and pharmacokinetic data remain expected by the end of 2026.
