Beyond Pink welcomed healthcare professionals, cancer survivors and community figures for an evening focused on wellness, awareness and preventative care for women. Taking place at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, the event began with a networking session before Health Magazine editor Suchitra Bajpai Chaudhary opened the proceedings with a warm introduction that set the tone for the night's discussions.
The programme featured two panel discussions moderated by prominent journalist Manju Ramanan. The evening's centrepiece was a keynote speech from globally recognised actress and author Lisa Ray, who shared her powerful experience surviving multiple myeloma. She stressed the essential need for women to be represented in all clinical trials and encouraged consideration of Hormone Replacement Therapy for menopause. Her insights brought emotional depth and encouragement, earning her recognition through a floral bouquet, plaque and certificate.

The first panel assembled respected medical specialists: Dr. Brajesh Mittal (Cardiology), Dr. Shady Lahbib (Nutrition), Dr. Partha Sarathi Das (Reproductive Medicine), Dr. Rini Kuruvilla (Gynaecology and Obstetrics), Dr. Muhammad S. Tahir (Mental Health) and dietitian Ms. Mitun Sarkar. They addressed issues ranging from cardiovascular health to fertility, screenings, nutrition and mental wellness, ensuring women had practical guidance to prioritise their health.
The second panel shifted the focus to personal stories of strength and recovery. Breast cancer warriors Ms. Renuka Parmeshwar Sharma and Ms. Shirin Sarkaree bravely recounted their journeys, highlighting the life-changing impact of early detection. General Surgeon Dr. Verushka Mansukhani contributed important advice on self-examination, regular screenings and prompt medical attention.
