Cryoablation technology company IceCure Medical (NASDAQ: ICCM) reported on Monday that commercial adoption and physician interest in its ProSense cryoablation system are increasing in Brazil following its recent US FDA clearance for the treatment of breast cancer.
The company highlighted growing momentum at the SOBRICE Onco 2026 interventional oncology congress, where clinicians presented clinical experience with ProSense. An independent Brazilian study, the SIX trial led by breast surgeon Vanessa Sanvido, is evaluating the technology in 750 breast cancer patients.
Separately, Toulsie Ramtohul of Institut Curie, who is set to lead the 900-patient CRYODESC breast cancer study in France, participated in the conference and delivered training sessions at hospitals in São Paulo.
IceCure said the growing clinical activity and physician engagement support wider commercial adoption of ProSense as a minimally invasive alternative to surgical tumour removal.
