Natera to support Phase 1 trial of Kupando's immunotherapy in advanced skin cancers
12 August 2026 -

Cell-free DNA and precision medicine company Natera Inc (NASDAQ:NTRA) said on Wednesday that it will provide its Latitude tissue-free molecular residual disease (MRD) assay for a Phase 1 clinical trial sponsored by Kupando Therapeutics in Germany.

The trial will evaluate Kupando's lead immunotherapy candidate, KUP-101, in patients with advanced tumours across multiple skin cancers, using serial circulating tumour DNA dynamics to monitor treatment response.

Latitude MRD testing will be conducted at multiple timepoints during treatment with KUP-101.

Following dosing of the first patient, Kupando's safety committee approved continued enrolment across activated clinical sites, including leading oncology centres in Germany.

KUP-101 is designed to activate the innate immune system and induce trained immunity, with potential applications across multiple solid tumour types as a standalone therapy or in combination with other agents.

Natera said Latitude is well suited to assess molecular response in the trial.
