Evommune reports Phase 2b trial miss for EVO756 in chronic spontaneous urticaria
29 June 2026 -

Biotechnology company Evommune Inc (NYSE: EVMN) disclosed on Monday that its Phase 2b trial evaluating EVO756 in moderate-to-severe chronic spontaneous urticaria did not meet its primary endpoint.

The randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study assessed the oral MRGPRX2 antagonist in 160 patients across the US, Europe, Canada and Japan. The trial failed to demonstrate a statistically significant improvement in mean change in Urticaria Activity Score over seven days at 12 weeks versus placebo across all dose regimens.

Despite the outcome in chronic spontaneous urticaria, Evommune said it will continue development of EVO756 in atopic dermatitis and migraine, reflecting its ongoing strategy to target chronic inflammatory diseases.

EVO756 is a selective oral small molecule antagonist of the MRGPRX2 receptor, while the company's broader pipeline includes EVO301, a long-acting injectable IL-18BP fusion protein designed to address aberrant IL-18 activity in inflammatory conditions.
