Medical technology company Inspira Technologies OXY B.H.N. Ltd. (Nasdaq:IINN) announced on Wednesday the development of a new disposable kit for the perfusion market. This aligns with the company's strategy to drive recurring revenue from products used with the INSPIRA ART100 system and other life support machines, aiming at the USD1bn perfusion market.
The disposable kit is designed to detect and alert users to performance changes during treatment, enhancing safety and patient protection. Its compatibility and smart features are expected to streamline use by medical teams.
Inspira Technologies plans to seek US.Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for the kit. Once approved, the product will be offered to hospitals utilizing the INSPIRA ART100 system. The INSPIRA ART100 received FDA 510(k) clearance for Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB) in May 2024 and Israeli certification in July 2024. Initial product deployment in the US is anticipated by the end of 2024.
